Episode 115: Let Creativity Rise: Energetic Wisdom, Nourishment, and the Inner Truths of Creative Flow with Sofia Adler
"Creativity is something that moves through us, that rises through us from our core, from our roots towards expression." — Sofia Adler
his episode is an invitation to explore creativity as energy, alive, moving, and rising from within. I’m joined by Sofia Adler, an energy worker, astrologer, and newly certified functional nutrition practitioner.
Sofia is the founder of Sofia Adler Wellness, an online energy healing center that integrates mind, body, and spirit. Sofia defines creativity as something that comes from the body, not the mind.
She shares what the energy of creativity wants to share with us through Energy Mapping. And also, shares about the importance of nourishment, and how honoring your body and spirit can unlock creative flow.
Sofia speaks about composting old beliefs and tending to creative blocks with compassion. She reminds us that we do not have to force ideas into form. Instead, we can let creativity move through us from the inside out.
Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or on your favorite podcast platform while you cook, clean, or create.
What’s in This Episode:
Creativity From the Inside Out: Creativity was defined as a process rooted in play and exploration, best channeled through energy, which is colorful, multifaceted, and non-linear, contrasting with the limited, logical mind.
Letting Creativity Rise: A live energy mapping session revealed that nourishing creativity involved a grounding, stabilizing energy (identified as “Elohim”) that rises from the feet to the head. This suggested creativity should be an embodied experience that emerges from within, rather than a mentally forced effort.
Energetic Misalignments: Creative blocks were described not as permanent obstacles, but as energetic misalignments. They were often seen as a protective mechanism or a signal that one’s attention and focus needed to shift elsewhere.
Holistic Well-Being: Sofia’s work integrates multiple modalities, including energy mapping, energy clearing, astrology, and functional nutrition, to provide a holistic, 360-degree approach to well-being.

Sofia (01:27):
So happy to be back. I am an energy worker, an astrologer, and recently a certified functional nutrition practitioner currently in residency, and I run an online energy healing center called Sofia Adler Wellness, which houses healing and care for our bodies, our minds, and our spirits.
Carla (01:50):
That makes me so happy to hear. It's out loud.
Sofia (01:54):
I know. Me too. The nutrition piece has been a dream of mine for a really long time, and I keep having these moments where I'm like, oh my God, I wanted to do this, and I went and I did it. It's been a year in the making and still more to be done and always tending to the energetic side and the astrological side. Of course, all the different modalities that I bring into my work, but as the nutrition piece is the newest, it's really cool to be, like I said, I wanted to do a thing and I did a thing and I made it happen and it's happening
Carla (02:25):
And so it is.
Sofia (02:27):
So it is.
Carla (02:28):
What was the last experience that sparked creativity for you?
Sofia (02:32):
The last experience that sparked creativity for me was astrologically related. Actually in a couple of weeks, on December 17th Wednesday, I am leading a astrology workshop called Your 2026 calling, and I candidly have not hosted an astrology workshop in a very long time, in years, honestly. And I led an workshop for a different group and just left feeling really inspired to create a different kind of year ahead planning a different kind of way to use the cosmos and the stars to look ahead because I find that the mainstream way is often very, I don't want to say demeaning, but it's often in a way that puts the stars and the planets at center stage and us humans of just trying to do our very best to keep up and also a lot of fear oriented. And so I really wanted to turn 2026 planning on its head and do it entirely differently and teach people a way to do it not only for 2026, but moving forward like a permanent shift and change in how people relate to the planets, work with the planets and in particular for looking forward in their lives and planning forward in their lives.
(03:54)
So that was the last, that moment of being like, oh my God, I'm going to do this fun. And typing it all up and getting it all done and putting everything together. That was definitely the last experience that sparked creativity for me.
Carla (04:07):
How do you define creativity?
Sofia (04:09):
Creativity for me when it comes to my work is really rooted in play and exploration. And the way that I channel that play and exploration is through energy, because everything is energy. And what I really love about working with energy is that you don't know. You don't have the answers. At least for me, creativity feels colorful and multifaceted and non-linear. And I have this image of a little kid with a crayon and multiple different crayons drawing a big squiggle. And that to me is creativity. It's not something that necessarily makes sense or is logical and of the mind and energy work for me in particular, is a beautiful way to drop me out of that mental state and to surprise me in terms of information that comes through or what's possible or what's connected to something that we never would've seen or known before. Because the mind sees one way and oftentimes it's very limited way, whereas an energetic way forward is very expansive, is very creative. It's beyond, usually it's beyond what we could fathom on our own.
Carla (05:24):
And what's your current relationship with creativity
Sofia (05:27):
Currently? I feel like it is something that I am tending to me as someone who naturally falls more into the logical, linear way. Listen, let's call it what it is, we humans feel safe when we have control. And so that is my default. That can be my default mechanism of, okay, well, how are things making sense and what's my plan? And so on and so forth. And so my current relationship with creativity is can I remember that it is a valid and legitimate way forward? Can I allow myself to try things to play, to get creative, to not assume the immediate way forward as the right way forward and dance a little bit and explore.
Carla (06:15):
I love that. And we talked about this about an energy modality that you work with and what does the energy of nourishing creativity want to tell us about our creative process?
Sofia (06:28):
Yes, let's pull it up. Let's do it live. What do you think?
Carla (06:33):
Yeah, I love that.
Sofia (06:34):
So I'm putting that question forward to the energy. It's bringing me to energies. So frequencies, it brought me to the specific frequency of energy known as Elohim, and I always encourage people to sit with the energy frequency themselves to get a feel. But for me, the way I experience Elohim is it's very grounding as an energy. It's very nourishing, it's very stabilizing. I always describe Elohim as this weighted blanket. So the energy brought us to frequencies, which is interesting because it could have brought us to an element or the body or a guide or a deity. So the energy as it relates to nourishing creativity, there's a frequency to it, right? There's an energy to it, which is interesting because as I said, as you and I talk about all the time, everything is energy bringing us to this very stabilizing, grounding energy that weighted blanket frequency of like, I'm safe.
(07:44)
I'm taking care of, I can feel grounded and whole as I am in this moment. And specifically the movement of that energy from the feet to the head. So a rising of energy. There's an embodiment feel, if you will. When energy moves from our feet to our head, I like to think of it as the way I would think about this as it relates to the question and what the energy has to say. There's no forcing, right? There's no thinking it through. Let it come from the body, let it come from the depths of yourself and allow that to be what rises through you like a wave and meets consciousness that way, that let it rise into the mind. Let it rise into an idea rather than this forced kind of mental pushing is the word that's coming through, and we are composting our relationship to this.
(08:42)
So a breaking down and alchemizing of how in the past as it relates to expressing our creativity, we might have related to this idea of letting creativity be something that rises up through you, that's born through you, that is felt and comes from the depths of self rather than a, oh, I need to be creative, and so I'm going to think my way through, or I'm going to force it or I'm going to talk it out. There is again, a breaking down to create a new relationship with how we allow things to move through us to be expressed. Creativity is something that moves through us, that rises through us from our core, from our roots towards expression. How does that land for you?
Carla (09:32):
It's incredible because the previous podcast guest, which is unreleased right now, did a somatic practice where she led me from my feet all the way to the ground. It's all energy.
Sofia (09:47):
It's all energy. And I would say I could have kept going and asked the energy more, okay, is there more that we need to know? So on and so forth. But for this, I wanted to share that initial hit. But yeah, it's all energy. It all always is.
Carla (10:00):
And this is energy mapping. This is one of the ways, and this is your creative process too. It's part of your creative process. Can you share with us how you use energy mapping and other modalities within your creative process?
Sofia (10:15):
Yeah, absolutely. So yes, I just gave everyone a glimpse of energy mapping, which is a very cool and specific modality that I think the easiest way to explain it is that it allows the energy to talk to us in whatever way energy wants to communicate. So we might map something through nature and get messages from the energy as it relates to animals or plants. We might hear from different guides and deities. We might hear from the energy through frequencies. And energy mapping is really the core of my energetic healing sessions or my energy care sessions where we tend to something, we tend to the body, we tend to our emotions, we tend to problem our conflict. We're looking to solve what I love about this specific modality in terms of supporting people and also creative processes. As I spoke to earlier, the mind doesn't know.
(11:11)
It never knows. And if it does maybe kind of sort of know it knows one way forward. Whereas when you work energetically, you zoom out, you see everything. It's like you get to tend to something. It's such a high level that it drops immediately in. It almost feels like when working with the mind, we're scratching the surface of something. But when we work with something energetically through energy mapping, through energy care sessions, we go all the way in. We see it for what it is and hear from it. We did in this past example, we give it what it needs. I have energy clearing bundles, which is rooted in the modality and motion code, and that is a modality that helps us release baggage that we don't to carry anymore, and it's baggage that we don't even know we're carrying, right? A lot of people have heard the body keeps the score.
(12:00)
We're energetic beings. Our energy carries experiences from the past just because we are moving forward, and I say quote unquote, because technically everything is now in quantum physics, right? But we need clocks and calendars and days to understand it all, to live, to be able to schedule a podcast, recording and meetings and all that stuff. But we carry things within us that hold us back. And so energy clearing allows for a recalibration, a release, helping as I see it, the body, the mind, the spirit, really come back into the present moment. And I'm also practicing astrologer. Astrology was my gateway drug into the larger world of energy and astrology, as I see it, is an energy practice. It just uses the hyper-specific language of the planets and the stars to communicate and convey an energetic reading. And then of course the nutrition work. So my take on nutrition is very unique in that yes, it's rooted in functional nutrition, being able to run labs, create protocols, but also integrating the energetic lens, the energetic angle.
(13:04)
So from that creative perspective, why treat our health and our body as this one linear thing? Why not tend to it in a full 360 capacity? Why not honor it as what it is at its core, a spiritual entity? We are spiritual beings. We are energetic beings. Everything is energy as we've been saying throughout this entire podcast. And though there is need and space for data in labs, in protocols, in specifics, in the both mundane and incredibly nourishing questions like, but how can I best eat to support myself? What should my meals look like? What does it mean to balance my blood sugar, so on and so forth. Really weaving a web of bringing a lot of different things together.
Carla (13:51):
It's so beautiful to hear you bring everything together, just like how we started this podcast, to hear you bring it into action because we have a longstanding relationship. And to see your evolution, I would love to know about creative blocks and how you not only move through them yourself, but also for clients and people that you work with.
Sofia (14:19):
I see a creative block as just an energetic misalignment. A lot of times what I see with my clients in particular with the energy clearing bundles, so energy clearing bundles are all remote. A lot of my work is remote because people are busy and need to go about their lives, and I love that I can offer care and tending without requiring face-to-face interaction. So energy clearing bundles are five sessions over five days. It's a week of support. And what I often see for people is a creative block is usually rooted in something that the body is carrying as a form of protection. I think that if we are blocked, if there is something that is preventing us from moving forward, there's a part of us that probably doesn't feel safe with that forward movement or there's something that just needs to be looked at and seen.
(15:12)
A lot of energetic work is giving something attention that has been ignored. It is so simple, really how deeply all parts of us want to be seen, not fixed, but just observed and acknowledged and heard. To me, a creative block is an opportunity to tend, I'm a big believer in using the word tend to rather than fix, because I think fix then reverse engineers us into thinking that we have a problem or we are a problem. And I would say 9.5 out of 10 times what I see when we release some energies that don't need to be held anymore, things start to flow. And so I tend to address my own creative blocks energetically. Of course, that's the way I move through the world. And also I do think there's something to be said for sometimes I let my creative blocks be, or I don't see them as a set block as permanent, but more asking, well, where should my attention go right now? Am I trying to force this one thing in this one direction? And so it feels like a block because it's not coming to fruition when actually maybe my focus just needs to be somewhere else right now.
Carla (16:24):
And I've seen that through your substack. You've gone through, I remember the series for wisdom. You were asking the energy where to go.
Sofia (16:34):
Yeah. I asked the energy how I should market my work. I asked programs just how we ask nourishing creativity just now. I encourage people to rewind and re-listen to that because we actually just really did a powerful energetic transmission, but it was quick and it didn't seem like that much. I will ask my business, what do you want me to know? What do you want to share? If I'm having physical stuff going on, I will ask. I tend to it in that way. I think working with energy, especially for the entrepreneurs listening to this, it allows you to do business in a really different and dynamic way that goes far beyond the best practices that we all kind of have been conditioned to follow at one point or another.
Carla (17:21):
Thank you for sharing with us, Sofia. How can we find you? How can we work with you? How can we support you?
Sofia (17:28):
Thank you for having me. This has been such a delight and such a gift to get to share more about my work and my world and my take on creativity. You can find me@sofiaadlerwellness.com. I spell my name with an F, not a PH can find me on Instagram, @sofiaadler_, and you can support me in my work by following me on Instagram, signing up for my substack. It's called Spiritually Curious Sharing this podcast if you have someone in your world that you think would love it, I have energy care sessions, I have astrology readings, energy clearing bundles that I spoke to today. If you are first time buyer of an energy care package, regardless of if you've been my client before, I offer a first time $20 off, you can use the code energy at checkout. Come experience this world, so to speak, of blocks. I'm a big believer that needing energy work to make sense is a block. It is a resistance because this type of work, this type of living and moving through the world, if it's for you or not, if you are being called and if you are being called, I encourage you to explore it and try it and see what it brings forward for you.
