Hey, it's Chef Carla and welcome to show up fully. This is a podcast where I share what it's like to show up for your real life if you don't know me I'm a food stylist and intuitive content creation coach. You can find me. It's Carla Contreras on Instagram and more information. In today's show notes this episode is about dropping the banana I'm gonna get into this whole practice of what that means and also share a meditation with you I'll share the link to it so that you can experience the practice yourself. Okay, none what is dropping the banana. I'm to give you the backstory on this and I'm also gonna preface this with I am sick right now I am Nas like I am on the tail end of a cold that I've had for couple of weeks so dropping the banana started with. Working with a client of mine who happens to be my Nlp mentor so you don't know what Nlp is it's neuro linuistic programming. She has a program called the Mental Wealth Method. Her name is Jenna Nap she teaches oh my goodness so many incredible things including EFT, hypnosis and subliminals which is you know say that None times fast um, and it really is working with the mind and working with language and it's in incredibledible. I have done a number of 1 on None sessions with her and I'm also going through her program so she came to me a couple of months ago and we started to work on a content creation strategy for her business mental wealth method. And the way that I work with clients and I usually don't share this information is that I channel messages for people. So if you don't know what that means is like I have pings or I have downloads or I get wiggles. Whatever you want to call it. You know i. I usually have like ah, a download and that's what I'll call it of okay this is you know this is your message or this is your content strategy or this is Xy and z is this in alignment with you. And with Jenna it was really interesting because we know each other we've known each other for a while and she's like yes I am so in alignment with this How did you know this Um, and that's just me tuning into her energy and this is the way that I work with clients.

02:49.40

And again like this is the none time that I was sharing this so you know bear with me because it's like really it's putting things out into the universe that I haven't before and I'm a little nervous about that. Um, but it's the way that I work with people. And with Jenna it was so natural to be my intuitive self with her to be able to channel and download messages for her and None of the things that was really uncomfortable was I want to say. Walking through the process of her letting go of her business mental wealth method now I want to be clear here. She's not letting it go completely. She has a self study program now. So she's not actively. Um. Hosting live rounds of mental wealth method as of the recording of this podcast. So what I did is I created a letting go practice and I will put the link to this letting go practice. It's a meditation. It's. Under 3 minutes that you can go through and it's about letting go of anything and I learned this from my spiritual mentor Veena Sarasawati I will put her link in the show notes as well. What you do is you imagine. Whatever you want to let go of as a ripe piece of fruit. So this can be anything. This can be banana. This can be strawberry. This can be avocado and what Jenna imagined when she did this process was a mushy banana. It wasn't like a bright you know grocery store banana this was like mushy. This is one that's been like sitting out for days maybe weeks with you know, brown spots and mush. Maybe it's one of those ones I don't know if you've had this. Happened but it like completely turns black I know that Christina Tosi she is a pastry chef and she loves using those bananas in her pastries because it turns into almost like this rich core. It's almost like fermented. So anyways. Um, Jenna imagined this ripe mushy banana in her hand and she let it go and that was mental wealth method it was it was the live version of this and she has decided now that she has a self-s study version which is amazing because I am.

In that program. It's amazing. You can listen to it I listen to it kind of like a podcast and I put it in and I love listening to it in the morning after my kids go to school I pop it on you know, have a cup of coffee listen to Jenna. And listen to the lessons. It's awesome. So she has this beautiful package this beautiful container of all of these lessons and she has made it into something that she can sell and that people can access at any time. It's a really cool but she also let go of the idea that she has to or you know this is where the shoulds come in. She should host live rounds of this program. She should do Xy and z and. I'm going to put a link to her blog post or it's actually I feel like it's a newsletter on um on the process of letting go of the banana because that's really her story and I want to make sure that if you're interested. You can read it. There is also a link if you make it in time. For 50% off this program and she also has a podcast of her own and she has a newsletter that I absolutely adore she is an artist and I really have enjoyed working with her because I have so many parallels with Jenna. And None of those parallels and actually why I'm recording this podcast right now with a scratchy voice is that just before I hopped onto this podcast I imagined letting go of the perfection of recording this podcast. You know I am. Just getting over being sick. My voice is not perfect and I imagine this like moldy avocado in my hand it it was really interesting to let that moldy avocado go and you know I feel like this practice. Can go towards anything in your life that you wish to let go of this can go for relationships this can go for social media this can go for website. This can go for businesses this can go for courses. This can go for a way of. Moving your body a way of eating a way of driving a way of like anything anything that you want to let go of you can use this practice so I'm going to put the practice in the show notes.

08:24.12

You can download the full meditation album. It's actually the social media meditation and affirmation toolkit because I created it because we have a lot of stickiness around social media and I created this for my clients because of that reason. But I also put this letting go practice in there because I also feel like it's such a beautiful way to let go of any energy that you want to I am so grateful that you took the time to listen to this podcast. And I would love if this resonates with you for you to share it with someone. You love text message email. Whatever social media post you can tag me, it's Carla Contreras on Instagram again I'll put all of Jenna's information in the show notes. So you can connect with her if her story resonated with you I'm sending you and yours so much. Love bye.
