Hey, it's chef Carla and welcome to show up fully. This is a podcast where I share what it's like to show up for your real life if you don't know me I'm a food stylists and content creation coach. Episode is about making time space energy and resources for creating your dream life and I am going to explain this through the lens that I am retaking the. I am health coach training program I did it back in 2010 if you're interested in that journey I will put it in the show notes. But right now I'm taking the 2.0 program that has been completely revamped and it's literally cracking me open. For the none time because I I did it so long ago that I have evolved the world has evolved wellness has evolved and now I'm a parent of 2 so this is just like a completely different experience. Not only the content is different I am different and I am approaching it from a different space and I wanted to really share how do I create that space that time that energy the resources in order to dedicate time to doing. Health coach training program. It's a six month accelerated program. It takes me between two and three hours of homework almost every single week. There are breaks in between but I created some journal prompts for you so that you could. Take this formula and apply it to anything that you want in your life. So maybe that is becoming a health coach. Maybe that is changing your career. Maybe that's starting a business. Maybe that's reading more books. Maybe that's cleaning your garage like. What is it that you deeply desire. So in the journal prompts again. These are in the show notes. So don't worry about writing these down for me I'm an audio learner and hence why I have the podcast I'm able to usually hear someone speak and.

Process things. So if that's you you don't need a journal you can just literally sit with this and and answer the questions if you want a journal if you want to get a fresh Google doc if you want to get your notes out. Go ahead if you want to save this podcast for another time and or revisit it. You can do that as well. Okay, so I'm going to go through the journal prompts and the questions and I'm also going to give you some information in between so number 1 what do you want to create most right now and we went over that like maybe it's. Ah, career change. Maybe it's starting a business. Maybe it's reading more books. Maybe it's creating art. Maybe it's cleaning a part of your home like what do you want most right now number 2 how can you create time space energy and reason. Sources in your life to make that happen because I want to acknowledge that simply desiring something to happen isn't enough. We have to make the time the space the energy and create resources and whether that's financial resources. Whether that's resources that you know we need to have child care or so a friend or a family member help out if you're a parent like what are the resources that need to come together in order for this to happen because. It's so much you know easier to just have a dream and say you know what one day I want to write a book one day I want to become a health coach one day I want to start a side business one day I want to take a pottery class but it's another thing. To actually sit down and create. Okay, so when is this going to happen. What is the time frame that this is going to happen. How can I create that space for this to happen. How do I create the energy for this to happen and the resources. So I'd love for you to sit with this question. And I'm going to go to the next question but I'm going to come back to this of how I apply this to my studying so the none journal prompt is more of an action step. It's get out your calendar. How can you schedule this. When can it happen and number four is do you need support in making this happen and again like I mentioned ah being a parent and I am a parent of 2 and do I need support with my children.

While I create this health coach training studying like while I create you know making time and space for this to happen. So I'm going to go back to question number 2 for the journal promises. How can you create the time space resources in your life to make that happen. So for me breaking down the studying that takes me you know sometimes two three hours per lesson. Um, and there are breaks in between. How do I get that done so I had to break this into number one I had to let go of Tv being part of my evening ritual. So what I do is kids go to bed. I pour a cup of tea I put on an I am listen Lesson excuse me and I rock out to that and that's my you know evening ritual and maybe I get out of journal or a notebook and i. Fully experience the lesson and this is after my children have gone to bed so that's one way that I'm getting in this time space and energy something had to go though and that was Tv and do I really want to watch Tv yes, but. Also really want to participate in this health coach training program and I chose to do the accelerated version which means that the lessons come more rapidly. So the second part of this is weekend afternoon so I'll pick One weekend afternoon and my partner Ed will take care of the kids and you know anything that they need and snacks and all the things he takes care of that and. You know, maybe you are a parent too and maybe you have a friend or a family member that can help you out. But for me I'm creating that space in the weekend afternoon and maybe it's one lesson and I'm pouring a cup of tea and spending an hour with it. But that's. None ur that I'm committed to creating space for my I n lesson so I will also say that I recently heard an I listen with Elizabeth D outdo

And if you don't know Elizabeth's work it's incredible I'll put her link in the show notes she talked about in her lecture. There was a podcast it actually I vividly know this because back in 2016 I heard this podcast. Between Elizabeth Gilbert and Glennon Doyle and it was called the big magic podcast I'll put that in the show notes as well giving you a ton of resources right now. Okay so what Glennon Doyle talked about on that podcast was her practice when her children. Were very small that she wanted to write and what she did was she wrote literally with a laptop in a closet at four thirty a m so that she didn't wake her children now. Personally I had. Adopted this practice so when my children were babies now. This is seriously making the time space and energy where it might not necessarily exist I didn't have child care then and what I did was. I spent 4 basically four 30 to about None or whenever my children woke up writing creating articles creating content writing Instagram posts and I spent that time for years until my children were in school full time committed to making the time the space the energy and I was my own resource by getting up at four thirty a m so that I could create this life that now I have I blogged I wrote for publications. I created content for huge brands and now I teach content creation in my poppy content lab and working None on one with people but it was years of waking up and. Starting to write and create content at four thirty a m I hope that you enjoyed this podcast that it has inspired you or it has sparked you in some sort of way to go after what you desire because you are Worthy of pursuing your dreams and even if it doesn't feel possible.
