Marcella’s 7th Birthday Treat for Cookies for Kids Cancer

Since my daughter Marcella started school we have been donating her birthday vs. giving goodie bags at school. It’s a beautiful way to not only celebrate and to give back. This year we are going a little bigger with Kids Cookies for Cancer and she is so exited! I am inviting you to join us in her celebration! I started a donation page and I donated $5.00 to start off, because no matter how big or small your donation is, it makes a difference!

Recipe: Frothy Hibiscus Latte

Flor de Jamaica (hibiscus) is a delicious herbal tea made from the calyx of the flower. It has a tart, floral, and fruity flavor similar to cranberries or pomegranate. The dried rose buds add to the floral notes in the hibiscus tea.

Feel free to use whatever milk you prefer. If you don’t have a milk frother, a blender will also work, but be mindful of the hot milk. Sweeten this with honey, if you like and top with rose petals to make it extra special. This recipe was originally featured on Tadin Tea

Recipe: Roasted Carrot Soup with Dandy Detox Tea

This soup is a genius way to use the Dandy Detox tea bag. It adds the detoxing properties of milk thistle and dandelion root and the warming flavors of peppermint and lemongrass. Feel free to add additional broth to this soup to achieve the consistency you like. Top with Greek yogurt or crema and add crunch and flavor with radishes and pepitas and by reserving some of the cooked carrots. Make sure to save some to garnish the soup too!

This is a perfect chilly weather drink and works well for entertaining. The fruit has a delicious jam-like quality and can be served for dessert. Wines that pair well are merlot, grenache, or zinfandel. For a buzz-free version, use cranberry or pomegranate juice. This recipe can be cut in half or doubled, and I’m including slow cooker directions below. This recipe was originally featured on Tadin Tea.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe & Mug Mindfulness Practice

This is an unconventional way to infuse tea, but it works! Simply pour the hot chocolate mixture over the tea bags into a mug and use a milk frother to add foam to the hot chocolate mixture. If you don’t have one, a blender will also work, but be mindful of the hot milk and be careful not to burn yourself. Note: Cacao powder has a richer flavor than cocoa powder, but either will work in this recipe. Add as little or as much sweetness with the maple syrup as you like.

The Chef’s Guide To Making Smoothies + My Favorite Blender Recipes

I drink a matcha smoothie every day. I make some modifications here and there, but it’s full of greens and healthy fats and keeps me going until lunch. On days that I test and shoot recipes all day, I often have a green smoothie minus the matcha for dinner or a vanilla, collagen, chamomile, and rose hip latte.

Soft Gingerbread Cookies & Easy Ginger Tea Latte

This recipe is my take on traditional gingerbread. They are shaped like Marranitos, Mexican gingerbread pig cookies. Marranitos are a pan dulce made with piloncillo. It doesn't contain ginger as an ingredient, so the ginger flavor comes from the Tadin Ginger Tea Blend made with ginger, orange peel, lemongrass, and licorice root.
